Monday 11th June 2012 - Colombo, Sri Lanka

Anjali had arranged to meet Farizeh today to help her with her visa. Apparently Anjali knew someone that you could pay money to that could sort it all out without the hassle of having to go through the nightmare that I went through.  Despite arranging to meet at around 8.30am, Farizeh didn't manage to  show up until around 2pm because the driver kept getting lost but also I think she woke up late - it was a late night so it was completely understandable. The problem was though that Anjali was on my case about hurrying up to get ready and then had me waiting around for like an hour. Anjali and I were talking about today and the plan and she said that we can have our movie night tonight. My response was "we will see what happens because something always comes up and you ditch the original plan. If we play it by ear then I won't get disappointed". With that comment Anjali realised she had upset me the day before and made a pinky promise with me that today we would stick to the plan which was cool. So Farizeh turned up at around 2pm and the worse thing is that after everything, she forgot to bring her passport which meant that after everything she wouldn't be able to do her visa! She also had some amazing trousers on yesterday that I really wanted to get copied so she was going to bring them as well today but she forgot them also! Lol! Our first stop today was Chocoluv. I had spoken so much about this place and Gayan and Shiran that Farizeh wanted to try it out. Shiran was there when we arrived but was acting really weird. I asked him if I could Introduce him to them but he said no. Gayan started a bit later and was really friendly to both of them when he arrived. We finished a milkshake and some food and then headed to Avirate!! That dreaded place! Anjali had put a dress in to get taken in so she needed to pick it up. I walked in and the face of the lady and the manager that had served me before both lit up. Within minutes the new stock was being brought in my direction! I was like noooo!!! You are evil, keep away from me!! I was very good and didn't buy anything! It was a day of more shopping though! We headed back to cotton collection as Farizeh wanted to get some linen trousers. I did not want to look at anything but then Farizeh found this amazing dress that she couldn't work out how to wear so she asked me to try it on. The dress was amazing but when we all realised it was the equivalent of £100 our mouths dropped open and I took it off immediately - not before having fun watching Farizeh trying to haggle the price down with the manager. Afterwards we went to a store called Kelly Felder (or something like that!). The temptation was too much and I ended up buying some things.  After the shopping we headed to a DVD store where Anjali and I chose some movies for our movie night later. I have forgot to mention before but the amount of stores selling pirates is actually nuts! I am talking  stores of nothing else but pirates existing in the malls despite them being illegal! Very crazy! Anyway, Farizeh dropped us home and we plonked ourselves on the sofa in the lounge and watched Bridesmaid. I can honestly say that I havent watched a funnier movie in a long while. The evening was really nice and relaxed, I really enjoyed myself.
